Dr. Luc Guglielmi has been appointed as Kennesaw State University鈥檚 ombudsperson, marking a strategic organizational shift to a full-time, dedicated position aimed at fostering a respectful and collaborative campus environment.

Committed to promoting fairness and openness across the university, the Office of the Ombuds serves as a neutral and confidential resource for the KSU community. Operating outside of formal university channels, the office offers impartial support including listening carefully to concerns, answering questions to support situation analysis, reviewing and explaining relevant university policies or regulations, helping to explore available resolution options, conducting informal reviews and making referrals, and facilitating discussions to support resolution and understanding.

Previously, the Office of the Ombuds was staffed by two faculty members serving in a part-time capacity. The organizational change aligns with KSU鈥檚 strategic plan, which emphasizes fostering a culture of trust, engagement, and accountability. Strengthening the Office of the Ombuds supports these priorities by ensuring the university community has access to a reliable and confidential resource for resolving concerns and promoting constructive dialogue.

Dr. Guglielmi has served in a part-time capacity within the Office of the Ombuds at KSU since 2021 and has been a member of the faculty since 2006. His academic contributions include teaching in multiple departments, coordinating the French program, and directing multiple study abroad initiatives in Belgium and France through the European Council of the University System of Georgia (now USG Goes Global).
