The Center for Cyber Physical Realms (CYPHR) at Kennesaw State University focuses on combining cyber-physical systems with extended reality technologies. Dr. Sylvia Bhattacharya is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering Technology at Kennesaw State University (KSU). She is working as the Interim Scientific Director of The Center for Cyber Physical Realms (CYPHR) in the Office of Research at KSU.

Her research lab, the Neuro-Interaction Innovation Laboratory, focuses on enhancing artificial intelligence models by examining human intuitive decision-making in complex scenarios.

Dr. Adams is Associate Professor and Assistant Chair in Engineering Technology at KSU. He directs the START Lab, focusing on nuclear materials, additive manufacturing, and energy systems. He has secured $4M+ in external funding.

Harun Avci

Dr. Avci is an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Analysis at KSU鈥檚 Coles College of Business. His research develops algorithms for simulation optimization applied to energy, inventory, and agriculture.

Dr. Jason Harron

Dr. Harron is an Associate Professor of Instructional Technology at KSU. His research integrates creativity, STEM, and arts through maker education, VR, and digital fabrication, with 20+ publications.

Da Hu

Dr. Da Hu

Dr. Hu is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at KSU. He develops smart, sustainable infrastructure systems using AI, robotics, and sensing. He has 30+ publications and funding from NSF and GWRI.

Xiao Huang 

Dr. Xiao Huang

Dr. Huang is a Professor of Economics at KSU. His research focuses on econometrics, financial modeling, causal inference, and high-dimensional data. He leads the KSU-Equirax and KSU-Emerson Data Science Labs.

Yan Huang

Dr. Yan Huang

Dr. Huang is an Associate Professor of Software Engineering at KSU. He pioneered Personalized Federated Learning and leads NSF- and NSA-funded projects in XR, cybersecurity, and AI education.

Dr. Rifatul Islam is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at KSU and Director of HIX-Lab. His research spans XR, multimodal learning, and AI safety, with DARPA and Army Research Lab funding.

Md Abdullah Hafiz Khan

Dr. Md Abdullah Hafiz Khan

Dr. Khan is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at KSU and Director of the CHAT Lab. He works on human-AI teaming, NLP, and multimodal AI for healthcare. Former AI Scientist at Philips, 3 WIPO patents.

Dr. Law is a Professor of English at KSU and coordinator of AI Writing Technologies. She researches GPT applications for communication and grant writing, with $550K+ in grants and global AI pedagogy leadership.

Dr. Osborne is an Assistant Professor in Nursing at KSU. Her research focuses on pediatric injury and violence prevention, including firearm safety and VR-based interventions. She holds a PhD in epidemiology.

Christopher Simpkins

Vishnu Suppiramaniam

Dr. Das is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Kennesaw State University with over 15 years of research experience in electronic materials and devices. He has published 40+ articles, authored book chapters, and received research funding from NSF, U.S. EPA, Intel, and USG BoR. His current work focuses on flexible electronics, neuromorphic devices, renewable energy systems, and advanced sensing technologies.
