A warm welcome to new faculty and staff who recently joined the Department of Geography and Anthropology!
Dr. Kyusik Kim is our new Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science. He is a GIScientist focusing on transportation and health issues. Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. from Florida State University. His research projects focus on geographic bias in spatial access to healthcare and human reactions to natural hazards using human mobility data. At our department, Dr. Kim will teach GIS-related courses, including Introduction to Cartographic Processes, Programming GIS, and others.
Darrell Montgomery is our new Office Manager. He is a recent graduate of the anthropology program here at Kennesaw State University. He has been married for 13 years and has three amazing kids, two daughters and a son, ages 10, 8, and 2. Darrell loves hiking, backpacking, and camping with his family. He is passionate about all kinds of music and concerts, especially heavy metal, and he is a huge Star Wars fan.
